Kimi Broadbent

Kimi is the Owner and Principle instructor at The Pilates Vibe and an Educator for Polestar Pilates Cert IV and Diploma courses in Victoria.

She has been teaching the Pilates method since 2009 and has worked alongside some of Melbourne's best sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists and osteos.

Her interest and strength as an instructor lies in her ability to analyse a person's static and dynamic movement patterns, communicate to the client what is or isn't moving efficiently (and why) and then designing a specific program to resolve the issue. Even though her work is complex, she has a lighthearted way of making clients feel comfortable and cared for within the space.

Kimi has many sporting interests and successes including basketball, netball, cycling and running. Her most recent achievement was completing the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek with her husband in Nov 2017 and placing as a top 10 finalist in a world wide teacher competition, the Pilates Anytime Next Teacher Competition.

Kimi is an instructor who leads by example and her passion for life and making movement fun is contagious. She continues to educate aspiring teacher trainers through Polestar Victoria and is regularly attending local, national and international Pilates conferences to keep up with the latest in movement science.

Sharon Van Geelan

Sharon started her Pilates journey five years ago through a subsidised corporate fitness scheme. She fell in love with the Pilates principles and experienced first hand improvements in not only her strength and flexibility but including her performance in competitive roller skating, of which she is now a national level champion.

After 27 years in Corporate Advertising, Sharon opted for a sea change to explore movement further and completed her Cert Iv in Fitness and then the Comprehensive Pilates Diploma through the internationally recognised Polestar Pilates.

Sharon was personally mentored by The Pilates Vibe Director Kimi Broadbent and now also mentors for the Education team at Polestar Pilates.

Shaz has special interests in working with pre and post natal clients, sports performance goals and anyone who wants to safely and effectively challenge their body beyond what they believe to be possible!
